What We're Cooking This Week

herbs and spices on a farmhouse table

It's been a busy week with houseguests, our daughter has been sick and the usual hum activity keeping our homestead going and doing our best to stay ahead of weeding and yard maintenance. This week, we decided to have a menu filled with comfort food (relying heavily on Pioneer Woman favorites) and we have had a house full of happy bellies at the end of the day. No complaints, except maybe with the heat, but that's just part of life this time of year.

Here is our dinner menu:

and desserts:

The three dessert recipes made plenty for leftovers to satisfy the sweet tooth for more than one day and the dinners were easily rounded out with side salads with veggies we had on hand (some from the garden!) and fresh bread, which we bake twice a week. Overall, everyone was happy for a week of comfort food and good times.
